Telehealth Definition
Lucet defines Telehealth (also known as Virtual Visit) as the delivery of behavioral health Covered Services through the use of interactive telecommunications as an alternative to an in-person visit, when the member and behavioral health Telehealth provider are not in the same location.  Telecommunications must be synchronous (live) services rendered via a real-time audio and video telecommunications system. Telehealth does not include the use of audio-only telephone, facsimile, text, email, U.S. Mail or other parcel service, or any combination thereof for the delivery of services.

Facility will be designated as a Telehealth provider for Covered Services that are appropriate to be delivered virtually. If Lucet and/or Florida Blue displays information about the Telehealth/Virtual Visit provider designation in its online provider directory, this information will be displayed for Facility.  

Reimbursement for Covered Services delivered through Telehealth will be the same as if services were delivered in person.
